1. Hip and elbow dysplasia. German Shepherds have one of the highest rates of hip dysplasia of any breed — studies put it at 20% or higher. This isn't just a senior problem. The damage starts during growth. Joint-supporting nutrients and controlled calcium in puppies are preventive, not optional.
